The IPI (Real Estate Asset Tax) is an annual tax applied to the total value of real estate properties registered by individuals. If you own a property in the Dominican Republic, you are required to pay the IPI every year.
When is the IPI due?
The declaration of the Real Estate Asset Tax (IPI) must be filed within the first sixty (60) days of the year. Payment can be made in two installments: the first installment is due on March 11th, and the second installment is due on September 11th.
How is the IPI Declaration filed?
You can file your IPI Declaration online on the government’s website, or you can visit a notary to assist you in filing your Declaration.
